Handling and Storage of Edible Decorations
Storage
Store in original packaging in an airtight container in a cool, dark place (cupboard or pantry). Keep away from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate or freeze.
Attaching to Your Cake
Attach fondant or royal icing decorations on the day of service — do not place in the fridge or freezer once applied.
Chocolate decorations can be placed directly onto your cake and refrigerated. Once chilled, avoid handling them again — condensation and warmth from your hands can affect the finish.
- On fresh buttercream: press directly onto the icing.
- On set buttercream or fondant: use a small dab of fresh buttercream, piping gel, or edible glue.
